[!!] Connections aborted: 72%

Hello,

MySQL Tuner 1.1.1 mentions '[!!] Connections aborted: 72%'.
What am I doing wrong?
What is MythTV doing wrong?

Anyone here that knows?

Kind regards,
Udo

Hi Udo,

Are you running any monitoring software, e.g. monit, nagios that
checks port 3306?

`monit` checks this port.
A bare tcp connect is also counted here?
Any way to make monit behave more nicely?

Yes it seems to. You could change it to:

check process mysqld
with pidfile /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid
etc. etc.

and not check the port at all.

If mysqld dies I wouldn't recommend trying to restart it automatically
though, if mysqld_safe can't do it then you're better off starting it
manually to find the problem.
