Recommended HDPVR

Can anyone recommend a decent HDPVR, that I can use with my cablebox. Something cheap but not so cheap that the quality is horrible.

I have an HDHomeRun and that looks like it will work to record shows that my current cable company provided DVR is already recording too many....But I may do away with the cable company DVR, and any cable boxes hooked directly up to my TV and just go with a straight myth solution controlling the boxes hooked up via HDPVR.

Well, at this point you only have one solution: the Hauppauge HD-PVR.

As far as I know, if you want HD, the Hauppauge HD-PVR is your only option.

And it is a 1 channel recording device that requires a cable box.

I guess I could always check firewire support with my cable box and see if anything is available and what HD channels aren't available because of encryption....Is anyone on thist list in Central Florida and using Brighthouse with the SA HD DVR?

Not sure about your specific area - but there's a list growing here :

Be sure to update with your findings.
