Building myth against bleeding edge Xorg

I run a pretty bleeding edge xorg on my system. On the latest build,
myth fails to build with:

/usr/bin/../lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0: undefined reference to `_xcb_unlock_io'
/usr/bin/../lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0: undefined reference to `_xcb_lock_io'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [mythavtest] Error 1

It's trying to link against the old libxcb-xlib, which is no longer:

No gripe, just a heads-up to anyone doing this. Although a workaround
would be great, if anyone knows libtool.

If you want to program in C, program in C. It's a nice language. I
use it occasionally... :-)

Both fresh SVN updates as of yesterday.... I'll have to figure out how to
pull version numbers from svn/git to get the actual number.

I have no clue how to get a current commit number from git. Any ideas?
I know xorg builds to 1.7.99.3 and it works with the nvidia binary blob
if you use -ignoreABI.
