Edit Keys oddities

I have a couple of issues in edit keys.

1) I'm trying to get Left and Right to do JUMPFFWD and JUMPRWND, but
they stubbornly continue to do Skip Ahead and Skip Back.
2) I was trying to bind { and } to SEEKFFWD and SEEKRWND (having
unbound them from volume) but they don't work. What's odd is that under
volume the key was just shown as "{" but when I put it in as a new
keypress, it shows as "Shift+{" and doesn't work.

This is fixed. For some reason, you need to quit and restart mythfrontend
for some of these changes to get picked up.

This is not yet resolved. However, there are enough Ctrl/Shift and F1-12
combinations left for me to get all my remotes codes through without
needing shifted punctuation.

It's a bug in MythControls (for which a ticket already exists).

Ah, sorry, guess I need to track down the mythtv bug database and do
some searching before asking question.

Actually, asking here isn't a bad thing (though doing a bit of research
first is always good). It means that users who may see the issue also
see that it's been reported--even if they're not following -commits and
-dev lists.

Asking on -users is /much/ better than just submitting another duplicate
ticket, so I appreciate your asking. :)

I googled around a bit but found nothing. I do fix 95% of my issues this
way, but this list is getting my newby overflow. :-)

I'm hoping that after a few weeks I can start answering questions for
others rather than always being the one doing the asking. I'll soon have
four front ends and a backend with five tuners, so I'm expecting to be
climbing the old learning curve!

This reminds me, I must write-up how I got my MCE remote that acts as two
HID devices working nicely. There are lots of people asking how to do it,
but no definitive answer. Which reminds me again, I found bugs in the
mythbuntu lirc init.d script which I need to report!
