Hi! My HTPC has a MSI K9A2GM-FIH motherboard (http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1436) with Realtek ALC888 chipset for audio, HDMI tv out and HD audio 7.1). A few days ago I installed Mythbuntu 9.10 (64 bit) and the problem is I have no sound. It doesn't matter what I play (mp3, video, live tv, dvd, etc.) the result is always the same: no sound! The strange thing is that everything seems to be ok: whenever I play something I see the status bar progressing, the file time/information correctly displaied and I can even see the volume bar when turning it up/down by the remote control. Everything seems perfectly fine both inside and outside MythTV front-end... except there's no sound at all coming out (trough the HDMI) from the TV! Can you help me? I Hope so!
