PrisonBreak on Fiver (UK Freeview; Rowridge)

Hi,

I have recorded PrisonBreak a few times now and each time I get video
with no audio; other recordings on Fiver are fine, just Prison Break
is affected. Is anyone else seeing this in the UK, on Cable, Freesat
or Freeview?

I don't know about prison break per-se, but sometimes I get what could be a similar problem, no audio for the first 5 minutes. I find that signing lady has been recorded on audio channel 1, and the normal language has been recorded on audio channel 2.
Pressing - once usually sorts it for me.

Is the audio missing or just playing the auxiliary (hearing impaired)
channel as default? Hit + on the keyboard.

oh, thanks... I will have a look at what those keys do! Surely Myth;
just like PVR should know which track to play; so is this a bug or is
there a setting to set the default audio context?

anyway I just deleted it. oh well next weeks episode will be hear on Saturday.

I have never really thought about it. I think sometimes the broadcast information states that the 'English' channel is the wrong way around. I guess that most TVs just ignore the information. Perhaps PVR has a different way of matching the audio channel. Hopefully it is something as simple as this to get you viewing your program.

I can save you a little trouble. The entertainment value of Prison
Break is inversely proportional to the season/episode number. Just
finish after season 1 and move on with your fond memories. By the time
you reach the series finale you will actually regret the hour you lost
and wish for some way to get it back. ;-)

I was gonna say "Is that old chestnut still playing???"

Or is this a "re-imagining"?

:)

Have you tried using the menu to pick a different audio track (if there
is one?) I sometimes find that Channel 4 recordings get the tracks
swapped round after transcode and the audio described track is the
default, so I get a description of the action! I know it's not the same
problem, but maybe it's related as that only affects some programs on
Channel 4.

Robert.
