mythtv 0.22 with mplayer

Hello!

I have mythtv 0.22 and I want to use mplayer (not the internal player) but I don't find how to configure it...
somebody can explain me how to do this?
Thank you very much!

You cannot changed the player used for recordings or LiveTV.

But you can change the one used in mythvideo to an external player. Is that what
you were looking for?

Maybe this is one of the missing 0.22 features?
I mean: it could be a workaround for a number of people for a number of
issues.
Was this option ever considered?
