Scanning channels from commandline

Hey

My DVB-C provider quite often relocate the channels - so I need to
re-scan to make then work again. (at least twice a week).
So, how do I re-scan all channels from the commandline?
I need to automate this process - since having to manually re-scan
every day isn't an option for me.

I've already made my "clean-up" scripts to remove any unwanted
channels, and set the right settings pr. channel. So that part is
done! :)

For QAM/ATSC I use "scan" which is part of linuxtv-dvb-apps package on
my distribution. My understanding is that mythtv-0.22 also has a
command-line scanning package.

That doesn't seem to be related to mythtv in any way.

Sorry your top posting confused me. Please don't.

The ubuntu package for the standard dvb command line scan app is named
dvb-apps. It obviously can't directly import channel info into your
database. However it can produce a channels.conf file, which I think
you MAY be able to import into myth via mythtv-setup (I have
recollection of seeing a "import from channels.conf" or similar.)

I can't point you to any command line utility within mythtv to
automatically scan for channels sorry.
