DVB-[TSC] radio ?

What is the best way to listen to DVB-T and DVB-S digital radio on a
myth machine ? I did a search and most people are using analog tuners
and not digital. So the current group of users how do you go about
doing it ? The tuners in my setup are used my myth so I think it will
not be able to hand them over to another application without shutting
down the BE first ?

Hi,

while scanning for channels there's an option "allow audio only
channels". This option is checked by default.
With this option enabled there will be radio stations in your channel list.
Here is what I did:
I put all audio only channels to stations >99. So whenever I want to
listen to Radio, I tell my remote to "Watch TV" starting with channel 100.

There's also some unofficial "mythradio" plugin somewhere on the net.

I get "error while displaying video" if I select to listen to a dvb
radio channel. How do you get around this ?

Sorry. I never encountered such an error while listening to a DVB radio
channel. It used to work "out of the box" with a black screen.

Maybe there's some option in the channel editor - can't check right now.

In fixes there is an "Audio only" option in Mythfrontend > Setup > TV
Settings > Recording Profiles > Hardware DVB Encoders > Default >
Recording Type

I don't use this myself: I use 'Normal', which also records the default
and interactive screen stuff. Then I strip out all except the mp2 for
recordings that I want to save. That's in the UK, and YMMV.
