Shows scheduled to be recorded disappear after a restart of the computer

Hi
If I restart my MythTV backend PC, the list of shows scheduled to be
recorded disappears. Opening Myth backend set-up & then exiting out of
restores the list of shows to be recorded is restored.
Any ideas what I should do or where I should look?
