The forum format has been brought up here many times, and rejected for valid reasons (it's Isaac's list, and he doesn't like them). Anyone is free to start any forum or other site they want to. But your point is valid, and also brought up often. I'd like to see a counter added to each post, indicating the ratio of quoted to new material. I for one would probably set up my mailer to reject anything over a certain ratio.
