AFAIK windows player will not play our files without a transcode. VLC will stream from mythtv just fine plus its fairly light weight. Bill Thanks for the advice Bill, but I have already tried VLC. I never managed to make it work. Besides its not really what I want - I want something that apache can be in control of. VLC server isnt so good in this respect. I may continue down the asx route and see if I can find another client instead of windows media player.
