IR blaster for digital to analog converter?

Hello,
I just got a digital to analog converter that I am trying to
control using a serial IR blaster (I know the blaster works because I
can control a cable box). The model is a Digital Stream DTX9900.
Does anybody have a working lircd.conf for this box? My IR receiver
is from a hauppauge PVR150, which doesn't seem to pick up
non-hauppauge ir signals so I can't record them manually. As a side
note, has anybody gotten any of the $40 coupon eligible converters
working with an ir blaster? I'm considering returning the digital
stream for a Zenith or other major brand so that I can try using codes
for existing remotes until one works.
