xbox xebian E images for mythtv 0.21

Hi, I posted the xbox xebian E images for mythtv 0.21 as a torrent.
I am not sure if i can seed it though since my ISP is comcast.

Thanks.

I have had the 0.20.2 images seeded for a while, and it appears as is
people have been able to download them even though I have comcast.

When I get home tonight, I will start downloading this image and seed it
also.

Anyone having success with this? I downloaded to help seed, and decided to
try it out (despite the fact I have 0.21 working fine which I upgraded from
one of the 0.20 E Images). I backed up my e:\debian folder and replaced it
with this one, and it won't boot. I got a black screen, and nothing else. I
can't ping or ssh the box, so it's not just a video thing. I copied my own
xebian image back and its back to normal. Just wonder what's up with that.

Downloaded it a few days ago, but finally got the chance to mess around
with it. Had to change only a few very minor things, but all related to
the backend. Works like a champ, thanks very much for this image. Now my
only problem is getting another capture card so I can watch different
programs in different rooms. My next mission is to find out what items
can be removed, such as the firefox browser and other things, as this is
going to be strictly front end for tv, etc. Anyone have any ideas as to
what's installed, what's vital, and what is just fluff that can be cut?

Hm, that's strange. I tested it on a completely different XBOX and it
seems to work. Please check the obvious like the integrity of the
files. Also check to make sure you didn't run out of disk space on
your XBOX. Let me know what you found out.

Hi guys,

First off many thanks to monkeypet! I was trying to compile this over
three xboxes and it took so long that I gave up. After downloading the 0.21
image I had the same black screen problem but after starting it up 4 or 5
times it finally started to boot.

Unfortunately I have a new problem where the only thing that works is
watching LiveTV. My recordings don't seem to playback, they go to black
screen for about 5 seconds and then come back to the "My recordings" menu.
But everything was working fine on this xbox using the 0.20.2 image.

Chris, I had this black screen issue also. Can you check to make sure
your time on the xbox is sync'd with the time on the server. My issue
was the timezones on the xbox. I documented this on the wiki.

Here is a snippet from the wiki:

If you have trouble playing recorded shows, make sure the times are
sync'd properly to the master backend. Also make sure your timezones
are set right. Run tzconfig as root to setup your timezone. If you are
in the US, you might need to update your timezone information. I did
this by just copying the appropriate zoneinfo file from a system with
a later distribution.
