Sounds like your default keybindings were changed.
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Keybindings
Check the volume keybindings and see if one says F instead of F10/F11.

Nope, no such luck. The first thing I checked, actually.
I only checked this through the normal mythfrontend settings
menu, though, is there some other way?
