Anyone using Tux On Ice (Suspend2) with Fedora on Asus A8N-SLI mobo with SATA disk successfully?

I had been using Tux On Ice with FC6 on this mobo with a PATA disk
with great success. I added a SATA drive to store the video recordings
on, and now I'm having problems getting the system to hibernate.

It seems that module sata_nv changes its behavior when a SATA disk
is installed. I have been unable to unload it, even after ensuring (with
fuser) that no applications are using the SATA disk's partition.

If anyone else on this list has had success with this situation, I would
greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this.

TIA,

Craig.

I have nothing to help with suspending/hibernating. I have the A8N-SLI
Premium using SATAs in RAID and single PATA drives. It never sleeps.
My only advice is unrelated to your current issue. I'm on my 5th
motherboard. The nforce4 chipset fails to provide enough voltage to the
PCI bus and power-hungry video/DVB cards will give you motherboard problems.

I've got the A8N-SLI Deluxe. Mine never sleeps, either. I've never
been all that happy with the board. I've got two of them, actually.
The SLI port died on one and the northbridge chipset fan died on the
other. There's no way to control the second case fan speed so it's
always at full blast.

Sorry to hear that. Mine is exactly the same mobo. It has not given
me any trouble
along those lines and I've had it for over a year now. I'm using an
nVidia GeForce
7300 GS video card in it without problems.

Craig.
