directv hdtv

After reading a few different things on-line. I am still unsure of one thing.
Can MythTV do directv HD?

Even if you can record is there a way to pass the signal through the myth box to an hd tv?

What are people with directv doing with hd?

I read somewhere in the docs that this is not possible. There is no way to get an hdmi, dvi or component video source into the mythbox....yet. Sorry

Not quite true. You can, but it's prohibitively expensive, and
requires a box (XP or custom) between the settop and the mythTV box,
and some custom software to receive on the mythTV box. From there, it
would come in over firewire.

Search gossamer for 169time or R5000. There are a few people out
there running this (and I'm considering it when my taxes come in).
