OnDemand Channels

I was wondering how people handle on-demand programming from the cable
company. Using my analog hooking to my STB, I can input these
channels...but listings are useless, and I'm unsure if the firewire
connection can interface to allow me to select and record programming.

I'd like to solicit some opinions on what to do with these channels, if
anything, and how to use them in MythTV.

I ignore them totally :-)

They are way over-priced. Likewise the ones from the satellite companies.

I do sometimes get on-demand movies from ITVN, much more reasonable cost.

Like you say, the listing data is useless so the only way to take
advantage of the channel is to do a manual record after ordering the
channel. With current release dvd's renting for $1 or less I have no use
for these channels personally.

Well, of all the places I would have thought to look, McDonald's wasn't
even on the list. Thanks for the info. If I can ever make it through
my recorded TV, I can start watching movies again. :)

I have to doubly recommend redbox. As someone who travels quite a bit
I really like the fact that I can rent at one McDonalds, watch the
movie on the road or at the site, then return at the next McDonalds in
line. You can even reserve movies on their website so they're there
waiting for you.

For those of us who care, they also typically have an extensive
collection of kids movies.
