mencoder won't start any ideas

mencoder won't start any ideas

I can't seem to get mencoder to work, I have tried installing it from source
as well as from urpmi. It only seems to actually find the program if
installed from urpmi as shown below. Any ideas what might cause this error?

Is this error only because I did not specify a file to convert? Anyway when
I run mkmovie (mythmkmovie 0.9 that is) and select a show, then hit encode
it will give me this but won't do anything else. The cpu usage stays below
4% so I am assumming something is messed up.

BUG Reports: Also how do we turn on cutlists if the command C is used both
for cutlists and configuration? Another issue is if you hit T on a movie to
encode it first then goto another recording and hit T it will move the T but
it will still record the previous T'd file first.

Here is what mkmovie does after I tell it to start encoding. It just sits
there after that last line and the cpu will be at idle. Whats going on?

If you want to use mplayer/mencoder with Myth, you must install from source
with the Myth NUV patch applied. The rpm version will not recognize Myth .nv
files.
