The specs page doesn't give any details about the TV tuners or remote
control, which are the only interesting bits as far as MythTV compatibility
is concerned - well that and the Windows problem, but that's easy enough to
fix.

Disappointing for alienware not to provide any tuner information.

In the Gallery tab, there is a picture of the remote which appears to be
an OEM Gyration.

I've got to say those machines are the sexiest looking media PC I have
seen in a while. I want one, with dual DVB-S cards pretty please :-)
Willing to do FREE mythtv testing in exchange etc etc (did I mention my
Nigerian uncle?).

About time someone got one and ripped it open to see how hard it is to put
in a different tuner card.

I emailed the sales department and this is what I got back:

"In regards to your inquiry, the TV tuners used for the Hangar 18
(both the analog and the HD tuner) are the AVerMedia M780 tuners."

bad news...
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/AVerMedia

Luckily, though, it's not exactly tough to put together a similar but more
myth compatible box while staying under Alienware's $2k pricetag.

I still like some of the Silverstone cases better, and their VFD's and
iMon remotes work in linux. My LC16M rocks.
