mencoder and skipped/duplicate frames
|
|
Hey everybody, I've been using mythtv now since 0.8 came out and it works great. I read through the mpeg4 portability thread, and patched up my mplayer with the mythtv patch. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing audio desynch, the audio starts to fall behind the video after about 30 minutes or so, even if i use -ovc copy -ova copy to do a two pass encoding. I'm thinking this may be an issue with they way I have mythtv setup audio-wise. In mencoder I see alot of "Skipping frame" and "Duplicate frame" messages whenever I encode my nuv files. Plus, sometimes, when doing a -ovc copy -oac copy, mencoder craps out with the message: Too many audio packets in the buffer: (blah in blah bytes). Where blah are random numbers. If anybody has any tips, i'd be grateful. Here's some info on my setup. Capture info: mpeg4, bitrate 3000, resolution 480x480 (2/10/6, min/max/diff), uncompressed audio (32000). thanks!
