Okay, please be easy on me; I am new at this. I had some hardware laying around, so I decided to give MythTV a try. I decided that before I install MythTV, I should make sure the hardware is working. I have a WinTV-Go card, and an ATI Rage Pro LT based video card with TV-Out. I have installed Mandrake 9.0. Xawtv works fine on my monitor, but the picture on my tv is scrambled. Everything is scrambled on the tv, not just the tv programming. I am fairly new to linux, but I am a technical kind of guy, and I decided this is a good opportunity to learn. As I understand it, there is a config file that I can edit to tell X the video modes I want to use. I have gathered that I can add a modeline command to this config file that may hold some promise for fixing my tv-out. Am I right about this? Do any of you happen to be using an old ATI Rage Pro LT card for Myth, and know a command that will work? Thanks, --davidh
