Possible to split screen for PIP? Enhancement?

First off, thanks Mythtv Team!

Great job! I love my Mythtv system.

I would like to know if it's possible to render two programs in a split
screen like mode. PIP is good, but I would like a behavior similar to
what I have seen in a couple of Sports Bars recently. Basically, two or
more feeds are rendered to a single screen. Below is an example of what
I mean.

2 feed split screen
---------------------------------
| | |
| | |
| | |
| Feed A | Feed B |
| | |
| | |
| | |
---------------------------------

3 feed split screen
---------------------------------
| | |
| | Feed B |
| | |
| Feed A |-----------|
| | |
| | Feed C |
| | |
---------------------------------

A more general question...is it possible to use split screen with just one
capture card? Like, watching a recording full screen while watching live tv
in the corner? Can someone point me to a good pip guide?

I'm really interested in this feature, and I'd be willing to
collaborate on it's design. I just have not done any devel work
on the Mythtv project.

Should I be sending this to the Devel list, or is there a repository for
Enhancements? Off to search the answers.
