Turtle Beach Riviera 5.1 spdif output-- anyone got it working?

I am thinking of buying a soundcard to replace the onboard sound system on
my motherboard. I currently feed a prologic receiver with optical spdif
which works well except that myth seems to have problems getting the sound
and video to sync... Keeps complaining about dropping packets. From what I
have read the fix is to replace the onboard sound with a pci card. So far
the only one I have found that looks promising is the Turtle Beach Riviera
card. Does anyone currently use this card and does the passthru features
work for you?

Thanks for your help!
William

The Turtle Beach Riviera is my recommended card for Myth and optical
SPDIF out. It's cheap and works out of the box with no .asoundrc, just
enable the SPDIF output in alsamixer and off you go.
