I decided to replace my old (20 years) mast head amp to try to improve signal problems. I have been running a dual UHF/VHF antenna as well as a hi gain UHF antenna using a combined masthead amp/diplexer. To my disappointment I found the signal on the new amp to be worse for the Canwest transport. In order to diagnose the problem I changed the diplexer switch from separate to combined antennas. This produced a marked signal quality improvement.Next I disconnected the VHF antenna cable from the diplexer. This improved things a little more. It seems the UHF signals from the two antennas were probably interfering with each other. _______________________________________________ mythtvnz mailing list mythtvnz [at] lists http://lists.ourshack.com/mailman/listinfo/mythtvnz Archives http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/mythtvnz/
