All Blacks v Wallabies game over EPG time

Hello all,

Did anyone else record the All Blacks game on Saturday night? If so, did
you also find that it ran a lot over time? I have 5 minutes of hard padding
on the end of my recordings and the recording still cut off at 78 minutes
through the game. It looks like everything recorded fine, but that the
Prime Freeview EPG was wrong—I would be keen to know whether to blame
MythTV or Prime/Sky.

Regards,

Aaron

I didn't watch it, but my EPG shows it as 9:55 - 12:15, so a 140 minute
block was allocated on Sky Sport 1.

I had to to some manual jiggery to start and end times in my recording
schedule to get the F1 3rd practice, All Blacks, and then F1 Qualifying
all to record back to back, and I haven't heard any complaints from the
kids about cutting the game short, so I think I got it all.

I recorded it delayed on Prime via DVB-T, with a schedule starting 5 minutes
early and ending 10 minutes late. I managed to get the whole thing. I don't
trust any of the Freeview broadcasters to stick to the clock/EPG on anything
that plays late night or early morning.

P.S. The All Blacks won. You might have been wondering if the Wallabies
managed to score 5 tries in the last two minutes :)

I agree with this in general however over the last 2 weeks or so I've
recorded a few late shows with no probs but I did find one major error
in the epg for Prime. A whole show missing no less!?! I suspect
Prime/Sky may be particularly slack with checking their epg.

Dangerous... I always add an extra 1/2 hour for sports games even if
the epg is 100% correct the game could easily run over due to
injury/fog/rain/flying pigs/whatever lifes not always on time ;)

If you said a bit earlier there was another chance to record it - Sunday 3:30pm..... (Yes it got me too, I'm going have to set
longer "post game" periods too!)
