Power to Show Desktop Time - SSD vs CF

FWIW:

Using a 3.16G C2D CPU on the same model Gigabyte motherboards (GA-EP41-UD3L) with 2G RAM from power button on to see the desktop
takes about:

SATA: Kingston SSDNow V-Series 64GB 2.5" SSD ("up to 100MB/sec read, 80MB/sec write") ~ 34 seconds

IDE: Kingston 8GB CF CompactFlash 133X Elite Pro ("25MB/sec. read, 20MB/sec. write") ~ 41 seconds

This is using mythbuntu 9.10 / JYA frontends. Error estimate at a guess allow say +/- 2 seconds.

The CF does pretty well considering its ~25% the price? (Ask me about its longevity in a couple of years...)

I'd be interested to see the difference after a few months of usage.

Yes, me too! They are currently not heavy use boxes, so maybe longer needed. Also I do not recall a log of total hours of use or
equivalent, which might be useful in this context, perhaps there is one? I suppose one could make one using an hourly cron job of
{SomeVariableSomewhere}+1....I suppose number of boot ups might be relevant here also?
