Analog capture

Hi all,

I have someone looking to connect a Sky box up to Myth. I would have used to
recommend a PVR150 but these are now EOL and I'm not sure what the preferred
hardware is.

Anyone have any suggestions for analog (s-video/composite) capture cards which
work out of the box and are a current product?

Cheers,

hads

Who's saying this. They might be EOL for the US market but not for AU/NZ.

Umm.. it was me saying it. I read things and since they disappeared from our
supplier we used for those I put 2 and 2 together, maybe I came up with 5.

More than happy to be proven wrong. Want to email me offlist with the
suppliers that you get them off?

Cheers,

The analogue input on the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S Plus seems to work
pretty well, it also give you a choice of using the s-video, composite
or dvb inputs for analogue recording.

Cheers,

Rob

The setup screen in mythsetup offers to let me do analogue recording
from the 'dvb' input (i.e. what would normally be the connection to the
dish).

I guess it just becomes a standard coax input, but I haven't tried it.
