I'm looking at turning on the new listings in the next couple of days.
I've been using them myself for a while now and am happy that they are
working correctly.
http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/
The new files are;
freeview.xml.gz
sky.xml.gz
all.xml.gz
the (now) old files;
listings-freeview.xml.gz
listings-sky.xml.gz
listings-all.xml.gz
will be linked to the new files so they keep working as before.
This shouldn't break anything. One exception, since I just added a rule
to fix it, Celebrity Masterchef Australia will be called that instead of
"Celebrity Masterchef..."
The new files are all processed with xmltv-proc-nz so should be faster
better and stronger than before. The basic list of enhancements over
other EPG sources;
Normalise titles by regex so they don't change all the time
Strip rouge HTML from titles/descriptions
Add sub-title and subtitle information
Add cast credits
Find and mark movies, HD and widescreen programmes
Add ratings from Sky and Freeview
Augment movie data from TMDB
Augment BBCWorld data on TV1
Add category information from Sky and a hand-maintained list
Validate and correctly order the XMLTV
I've also been toying with the idea of using http://identi.ca/hads to
notify of any small updates e.g. title fixes etc. so if that's your
thing, feel free.
