Simply could not get it to work, so I reverted to my old Windows instincts and uninstalled Mythweb and Apache, reinstalled, and now it works. Go figure. _____ From: Simon Green [mailto:simon[at]simongreen.net] Sent: Monday, 1 September 2008 3:54 p.m. To: james[at]booths.net.nz; MythTV in NZ Subject: Re: [mythtvnz] Mythweb Assuming you set up mythweb as part of Mythbuntu, you can change the username and password to access it in the MythTV Control Centre that comes part of the Mythbunutu. Failing the you can modify the .htaccess file directly, but this is less desirable. -- simon 2008/9/1 James Booth <james[at]booths.net.nz> I want to get Mythweb up and runing but am having problems. I know very little about Apache, so excuse me if this is simple noob stuff. When browsing to the myth box it asks me for a username and password. I have followed some guides found on the net re. setting authorised users etc, but I just cannot get it to work, I cannot get past the authorisation stage. I am using Mythbuntu 8.02, can anyone offer any tips/advice?
