H264 Testing update on mythtv.co.nz

I've put up some details from my current testing of a number of sample
H264 sample files at http://www.mythtv.co.nz

Sadly I can't get playback working correctly at this stage.

Anyhow take a look at the sample screenshots etc and let me know what you
think.

Re: H264 Testing update on mythtv.co.nz [In reply to]

Something I've always wanted to ask, what is the comb-tooth effect down
every hard edge within a moving picture?
A (mac-using) friend reminded me to ask about it the other day, I've
stopped noticing it when I watch but its most obvious on still shots.
Is it interlacing?

Barry

Yup. The streams are 576i and 1080i so you get interlaced artifacts when
you grab a still frame. For the purposes of testing I didn't enable any of
my usual de-interlace filters.

I've also done a quick follow up on http://www.mythtv.co.nz. I've managed
to get the test streams working, but there are still some playback quality
issues that need to be resolved.
