Every program on second card is "unknown"

I have two skystar 2 cards, and when I first set it up both cards
seemed to know about the EPG data. Now on the second card every
program is "unknown" as though it doesn't know about whats in the EPG.

Both cards are set up identically and have the same XMLTVID, CHANNUM
and CALLSIGN.

This is making recording two channels at once impossible, and is
frustrating the hell out of me. WAF at all time low as it only seems
to ever record the programs I like (cos hers start 10 minutes later or
something). Help!

Sounds like you haven't associated a video source with the tuner. For
example I have a "Freeview DTH" video source that I associated with all
DVB-S tuners.

How do I check that?

Run mythtv-setup

Select "4 Input Connections" and make sure both cards have the same
video source

Take a look at Step 7 at

Never mind i think I sorted it. Its the Input Connections screen in
mythsetup. I now have them both set to the same, although it worked
previously (for a while anyway - I wonder how many shows I missed. Is
there a db query to show "scheduled shows in the last fortnight that
weren't recorded (and why?)"

At a guess I'd say you had the second card getting data from EIT.

Is

In the frontend go into Manage Recordings -> Previously Recorded. Shows that
failed due to conflicts will be marked with a 'C'.
