Scheduler: timeslot

This question has been asked before, but a lot of work has gone into the
scheduler since then.

If I set up a "record in this timeslot every week", will the scheduler catch
episodes which have been bumped to the previous or next timeslot due to a
special event?

Thanks,

John

No, it will only record when the show starts at the time you specified
and on the day of the week you specified.

Is there a specific reason why it does not scan the prev/next timeslot for
the show?

I imagine that the scheduler is a rather complex piece of code, but adding a
next/prev timeslot check does not sound that hard. Of course, I have not
looked at the code yet, so I may be miss-judging things.

That is the job of "record on this channel any time" or "record on any
channel anytime". It will also allow you to catch a rerun of the show late
at night if you do miss the show for some reason.

That's what the "record at any time on this/any channel" types are for.

Patches are always welcomed, though not always accepted.
