free space-balancing across multiple recording dirs?

Is there a TODO item to allow one to specify multiple recording dirs,
and balance free space among them? I'd like to set up multiple drives
*without* RAID and not have to change the recording dir manually when
one drive becomes close to full. If this isn't on anyone's radar, I
may take a crack at it, assuming there isn't significant objection to
it.

Cheers,
Kyle

What's wrong with LVM? Aside from that all the dirs have to be local...

I've been thinking of writing a simple (cronjob) script to move files onto
another drive and sim-link them back to the original place. Simple but would do
the job easily.

Not quite; I believe LVM works with the nbd driver these days.
