MythNetVision grabber scripts?

MythNetVision grabber scripts?

Ok, I had a user report the following bug:

https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2328

stating the MythNetVision grabber scripts are not being packaged, but
it doesn't appear to be a problem with the package building process,
but rather the scripts don't seem to be in the source.

Am I missing something? I thought several scripts were supposed to be
built-in[1].

He is absolutely correct. There are no scripts installed with the
MythNetvision plugin, as the MythNetvision plugin does not use any
external grabber scripts. All content queries are performed by the
master backend, through the InternetContent section of the Services API.

Let me ask a follow up question then. Does the backend not rely on
grabber scripts anymore for function?

Yes, and the grabber scripts are shipped with the backend (and frontend,
and the rest of the core install), not with the plugins.

Ok, I think I understand what the user is complaining about.
Apparently the scripts get installed into

/usr/share/mythtv/internetcontent

but for some reason when he goes into the plugin, the grabber scripts
are not being found. Is the location of the grabber scripts something
that can set in the database through setup?

No, it's the share directory as determined at compile time. Perhaps he
has an old /usr/local/mythtv self-compiled version as well as a packaged
version on his system?

What he means is that MythTV's shared files directory is defined at
compile time, typically as $PREFIX/share/mythtv. It will always be
pulled from the 'internetcontent' directory within that share path. The
'mythnetvision' directory jjfam1 is referring to is no longer used.
