This could be related to 10414...

No. #10414 is a side effect of the new recording quality code added in
0.25, and does not affect 0.24. Besides, he claims his recordings are
actually fine in other players, it's only playback in mythfrontend on
OSX on his Mac Mini that has difficulty.
