Ticket #10336 should be re-opened

Hi, The symptoms of ticket #10336 are still present in opensuse 12.1. Could someone please re-open it as it's not fixed yet? Best Regards,

Yianni.

I've found packman releases to sometimes be well behind the fixes branch. Have you tried building from fixes/0.24 yourself?

And, FWIW, the only bug shown in #10336 has been fixed. Again, as I
said before, your logs indicate some brokenness with your install that's
preventing OpenGL from working properly.

From here, see: http://code.mythtv.org/trac/wiki/TicketHowTo .
Specifically:
-----
If your ticket gets marked as "*worksforme*" or "*invalid*" consider
this a challenge to improve the bug report. Problems often only occur
with a particular setting, with some particular hardware or even with a
specific recording. Figuring out what exactly is causing the problem
will make it possible to reproduce the bug, which is the first step in
fixing it.
-----
where, here, it was marked closed/fixed because your report did actually
show a bug and that bug has been fixed. (And, we thank you for that
report, which led to fixing the bug.) However, there is no indication
of further bugs in MythTV code. Until we have a useful report of
something that can be fixed, there is absolutely no reason to keep the
ticket open. If you prefer, I can treat your ticket like we have,
historically, treated tickets that don't provide sufficient information
to identify a bug that can be fixed: I can leave it open--and ignore
it--for 3 to 5 years, then close it as, "Probably fixed in the last 5
years."

And, besides, it's not like I'm just leaving you hanging. I /am/
involved in a discussion with you to try to fix the issue on your
system. I'm just having said discussion where it belongs: on the
mailing list. I've even told you that I will almost definitely put in a
workaround to use the old, legacy, doesn't-work-with-some-themes painter
you're forcing it to use, anyway, right now. But, as I mentioned, I
want to identify what's broken in your install so I can tell the user
how to fix it when I implement the workaround.

For a much better description of why this ticket is closed, see:

(And from here, I will continue the discussion we were having on the
-users list.)
