I recently updated to 169.XX and have the problem that xrandr only works once. After that the resolution stays at the video playback setting the whole time until I restart X. Using the command line tool works an arbitrary number of times until it has stopped working in Myth at which point it silently fails to alter the resolution. Hope this isn't a thread hijack but a related issue!
