Agreed. I set my limit to 40 (I didn't really play with it, just used
the suggested value). I did have to put it in the settings db though, I
couldn't get mythfrontend to start if I put it on the command line. This
is probably the most useful thing (to me) that's been added to myth in a
long time!

Thanks
Tom

Well - hopefully it'll be "added" to myth :)

Re: Patch to autodetect 4:3 Zoom aspect ratio [In reply to]

I am very glad that you all like it. I will open a ticket in trac so
it can be considered to be a part of myth.

I have also been looking at looking at the prebuffered frames to get
the switch to the correct mode frame exact. I think that would make it
more plesant to look at shows that switch between different mode.

So I have been looking at the method GetLastDecodedFrame seems to
return a frame that is about one second before LastShownFrame. But in
videooutput.h it has a comment "Bug: not implemented correctly. vpos
is not updated.". Is this method safe to use?

I have now created ticket http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4872

To this ticket I have attached the latest version of my patch, this
version also switches to the "Half" zoom for content int 14:9.
