Menu problems with internal DVD player in ATrpms build 0.21-178_trunk_r16254

The internal player lacks sound on initial entry to the menus and the
item-selection frame is invisible, although still active. This applies
both when playing a real DVD and when using the Mytharchive utility.
Once beyond the menu phase it all seems to work. Sample of terminal
output below. The references to 'AC3 has 0 channels' and to the
subtitle codec puzzle me. The DVDs were recent Mytharchive products
with AC3 sound only.
