This sounds like the same problem I had. I fixed it with this patch from
-vid which applies OK to trunk.

http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/14439/

Having said that, I'm still using r14400 due to WAF issues with the latest
(skip back hangs and/or crashes). More experimentation tomorrow:-)

Exactly what happens here after the vid-branch merge. On my remote
frontend via with a cle266 livetv always causes a segfault.
Additionally on my master backend (AMD64-3000 with Ubuntu Feisty
(32bit) with DVB-t) a full channel scan segfaults after getting a
LOCK:

Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: 192.168.178.23
2007-09-07 17:31:23.622 SelectSetting::setValue(): invalid index: -1 size: 1
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

And here the backtrace for the crashing channel scan: http://pastebin.ca/685778

If an additional backtrace for the cle266 crash is needed please tell
me. Also for me most parts of the backtrace consist of GL messages
like _glXInitialize () from /usr/lib/libGL.so.1, glXQueryVersion ()
from /usr/lib/libGL.so.1, OpenGLContext::IsGLXSupported () from
/usr/lib/libmythtv-0.20.so.0

Regards,
Adam
