Followup to "no picture" problems

I wasn't subscribed to the mythtv-dev mailing list, so I didn't know you'd replied, Issac, since you didn't CC: me. This is the output of mythtv in its entirety: Probed: Television Probed: Composite1 Probed: S-Video Probed: Composite3 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV libavcodec: CPU flags: mmx mmxext 3dnow setting sample rate to 44100 failed Could not detect audio blocksize There aren't any errors logged that I can see, in the kernel log or anywhere. When my line-in is unmuted, mythtv turns on the bttv audio input, but no video ever appears. I do get a mythtv process which takes up about 20% of my CPU time, though. The sound device is my default device, /dev/dsp (which is a symlink to /dev/sound/dsp). Nothing's using it, either. The ringbuf.nuv file continues to get added to, so it is at least trying to record something. It makes no difference whether I use mpeg4 or rtjpeg for the format.
