so what did you change in your kernel?
did you enable something or did you disable something?

Hmmmm. Based on the above, coupled with comment 1 of this ticket
(which says, "exactly 5 minutes" -
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/3047#comment:1 ), it sounds like #3002
( http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/3002 ) is a dup of this ticket
(although this one was reported second, it includes all the info
required for the submitter of 3002 (anonymous) to verify).

Now, where did I put anonymous's e-mail address so I can get
verification? I'm pretty sure I saw a ticket somewhere in which
anonymous said he was also using Gentoo. :)
