I asssume this would fix the problem I was seeing where MFE would crash
the second time I tried to watch a recording? If so, can I apply this
patch to SVN head?

The patch doesn't apply to head. But if you are using OpenGL
VSync this is probably the same problem. If so, you might be
able work around it in head by disabling OpenGL VSync, or
by using an older nVidia driver. I believe 7676 doesn't have
this bug. I'm not sure when exactly it was introduced, but
there has been some talk about it in the nvidia support forums.

It didn't work for me with 9746, but 9631 was okay, I think. 9629 for
sure works.
