Occasional Closed Caption glitches (IVTV 0.4.2/PVR250/SVN Rev 8992)

Closed Captioning works well here (NTSC-Cable). However occasionally
there's a screen of CC data that flashes up for 1 frame then
dissappears 'til the next set of CC data comes in (Rather than
persisting).

Has anyone seen this before, and what information can I provide to
help make this work better?

Thanks in Advance.

I've been seeing this for a while too. It's been doing this in SVN for
probably at least a month, and still doing it as of 9068. I have a
similar setup as you: PVR250, IVTV 0.4.2, video source is NTSC cable.
I've seen it on several different shows on different channels.

I also often see missing characters in the closed caption text, usually
every couple of lines 2-3 characters in a row will be omitted. Don't
know if this is related or not, or maybe just a problem with the source
material.

You need to have a really clean signal to get error-free
captions. Errors can show up even with a decent picture. Are some
channels better than others?

This may not be a Myth problem. I see this kind of behavior from my
satellite signal fairly often (once or twice a week). This may be caused
by an interruption in signal or by the way the content was edited before
being broadcast. It can also be caused by interference in the signal
caused by weather, airplanes, buildings, etc.
