#10818: Couldn't find an A/V decoder for video/mpeg -------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: angela.schmid@… | Owner: beirdo Type: Bug Report - General | Status: assigned Priority: minor | Milestone: unknown Component: MythTV - Video Decoding | Version: 0.25-fixes Severity: medium | Resolution: Keywords: decode video mpeg | Ticket locked: 0 -------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by angela.schmid@…): Thanks for having a look. What does it mean, is MythVideo/MythGallery unable to play such files ? What I noticed for the Canon Powershot camera, that very old movies where playable, recordings after a certain date where not playable anymore, I don't know if there were any options changed. Will they maybe be playable with a newer version of ffmpeg (I hope the same version as mplayer uses, so that VAAPI works for me) ? Converting the movies what would be the preferred format, which program and options should be used ?
