1) Todd Tidwell did some testing, and -march=athlon is (slightly) faster than
-march=pentiumpro and -march=pentium2 on Athlons.

2) Added some Athlon 64 detection stuff from Joel Goldwein and Adam Egger.

3) Added a warning message if the CPU is not recognized.

4) Added --extra-cxx-flags and more mmx detection stuff from Anduin Withers

5) ./configure now picks up a CC and CXX environment variables for using
in test compiles within the script. This is not being passed to
config.mak, so you still need to have them set when running make.

Added tests for sse2, sse, & mmx flags to the Celeron processor detection.
This allows us to set the correct architecture in case all the different
architectures of Celerons have the same processor model name.

Also added optimize="small" when a Celeron is detected, we probably want
to avoid spilling their small instruction caches. But of course if someone
with a Celeron does some testing...

Also added the Intel P3 and P4 Xeons.

This adds a mouse cursor visibility checkbox in the appearance settings.
If checked the mouse cursor is visible at all times, this is useful for
desktop usage of MythTV. This does not add any functionality as far as
what you can do with a mouse, it simply makes it visible so you don't
lose it when you want to click in some other application. -- dtk

This checkin just reorganizes the TV class' method variables into
functionally similar groups and properly initializes all these
variables. There was one uninitialized pointer that led me to
make the patch initially. But by functionally separating variables,
this also makes it much easier to keep other patches from
conflicting.I have three in the queue that all touch tv_play.h.

Start getting ready for 0.18.

v0.18.00, 2005-04- Add note that Mandrake > 9.1 needs libqt3-mysql. Add
note that you don't need to explicitly disable DPMS. ./setup is now
mythtv-setup. Add DishTV PPV link. Get rid of references to settings.pro
since everything is now done in the configure script. Update debugging to
reflect new configure script. Update XMLTV version.
