Value of $^X

I've received a bug report for Devel::Cover which boils down to $^X not
pointing to a valid perl binary under mod_perl. See
https://github.com/pjcj/Devel--Cover/issues/27

Is this the case, and is it someting that should be fixed?

I'll put together a unit test to exercise this. Thanks for the report;
we're releasing 2.0.8 shortly so maybe this can go out with it.
