STRange OSD after update to Diablo

Hello,

After upgrading my n810 to Diablo, i have a strange situation with the
On-Screen Display shown at the top right of the screen when launching
a program - it says things like "ckct_ib_application_loading" when i
was expecting something like "Opening Web Browser". I don't know if
this is just because of Diablo, as i also installed a mess of software
right after flashing.

Anyone else have this behaviour?

Regs,
/t

Re: STRange OSD after update to Diablo [In reply to]

They look like references to locales.
For multi lingual support.

Something went wrong and you either lost the locale files or something else.
Dunno if it's worth trying to restore it or flashing from scratch.

Sounds a lot like https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1109 to me.
Which locale do you use? Did you restore a backup after flashing to
diablo?

Yes, me - but i don't had the time to report it until today...

My local language on the tablet is german. I diden't try to restore a
backup of whatsoever after reflashing the device. I use the bootmenue an
a system from the internal mmc my n800.

The problem is happen only with most of the applications from nokia
which are installed on the tablet after flashing it.

In which files is the information like "ckct_ib_application_loading"
located?

Ciao Uwe

I use the English (UK) device language and regional settings.
I didn't restore a backup after flashing.

Do you have the "give" plugin enabled? I had same problem until I disabled
it.

Hello Faheem,

yes, disabling the "give"-plugin solves the problem! :-)

After disabling the plugin i had to wait a few seconds the hildon
desktop restarts and the messages are looking well again.

I'll open a bug for the give-developer if there is no one untill now.

Hi Andre, I was not able to locate a Bug-Tracker for this application
but I wrote an E-Mail including the Bugreport to the developer. I'll
post his answer if I get it.
