locked device

Hi,

I don't know how but a "friend" of mine has blocked my device and he
doesn't know what pin has entered (I've probed many...)

I have dual boot,so I'm still able to boot my device with "original"
session, but not with the "external" one...

Any guide for recovering the pin? Do I have to reinstall it?

TIA,
Arnau

Re: locked device [In reply to]

I think the only way to fix this is to re-flash the unit.

I guess the PIN is stored in CAL area. As you have dualboot,
and therefore some way(?) to get root access to the device,
it might be possible to recover it.

What is CAL:

Boot it in unlocked mode, become root, get the lock code, reboot
in locked mode, enter the lock code.

I extracted a snippet from powerlaunch. It asks dsme for the lock
code.

I don't think so.

If I reboot on power, I go straight in to the FLASH image with no hint
of the bootmenu. Or at least, this happened when booted to FLASH and
attempting to reboot in SD.. maybe if I was booted to SD it would have
been that one? Though my device rebooted itself unaided the other day
(in a bag) and ended up in the FLASH rather than the SD where I'd left
it, so YMMV.

When charger is attached device does not shutdown completely (by design)
so no bootmenu.

However, running reboot command in shell as root shoud reboot the device
fully. Only the power button does not switch device completely off.
